Brief Introduction: In November 2019, after commemorating the Julieta Maravillas 8 the Year of the Rat. It was no surprise when Habanos S.A. announced a follow-up celebrating another Zodiac calendar-inspired cigars, the Year of the Ox! Released in 2021 the number eight—a lucky number in Chinese culture—is a major component in the Primaveras release, with only 8,888 boxes of 18 cigars produced.
Flavours: Wonderful combination of creamy cedar and cinnamon that was so prominent in the first third, followed by mild to medium notes of peanuts, vegetal, generic citrus, leather tack, dark chocolate, toasted bread, earth and a touch of floral.
Synopsis: Hoyo de Monterrey is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. Its origin goes back to the plantation of the same name located in San Juan y Martínez, in the heart of Vuelta Abajo, without a doubt one of the most famous plantations (fertile lands) symbolizing the richness of the Cuban lands where the considered world’s best tobacco is grown.
